mintab is a Chrome extension that replaces the new tab page with a minimal view of bookmarks from a user-selected bookmark folder.
What data mintab uses
- Bookmark folder names, bookmark titles, and bookmark URLs needed to let the user choose and display a bookmark folder.
- Local extension settings such as selected folder, theme, font size, and color preferences.
How mintab uses data
- To let the user choose a bookmark folder.
- To display bookmarks and site favicons on the new tab page.
- To save the user's preferences locally on the device.
Data sharing and transmission
- mintab does not send user data to the developer.
- mintab does not sell, transfer, or share user data with third parties.
- mintab does not use remote code.
Storage
- Preferences are stored locally using
chrome.storage.local. - Bookmark data is read from the browser only as needed to render the new tab page.
